Install your Max Media Wall in a day.
Free DIY guide. Basic tools. One panel takes ~30 min. A full wall takes a day.
- · Cordless drill
- · Level (24″ or longer)
- · Stud finder (we include one with every order)
- · Pencil
- · Tape measure
- · A friend (helpful but not required)
Step 1 · Find your studs
Use the stud finder along the wall where the panel will sit. Mark each stud with a pencil, top and bottom. Panels mount into studs for solid hold — no drywall anchors needed.
Step 2 · Mark mounting holes
Each 24″×118″ panel mounts with 4 screws — 2 at top, 2 at bottom, into the closest studs. Hold the panel against the wall (or use a friend to hold it), level it, then mark 4 hole positions through the pre-drilled mounting points.
Step 3 · Pre-drill the wall
Use a 1/8″ drill bit. Pre-drill all 4 marks. Cleaner final screw-in. Prevents splitting if you ever move the panel later.
Step 4 · Mount the panel
Hold the panel up to the wall (friend helps). Drive the 4 included mounting screws through the pre-drilled panel holes into the studs. Tighten until snug — do not over-tighten or you’ll compress the felt backing.
Step 5 · Add the foam top-cap
Each panel ships with a matching acoustic-foam top-cap. Slide it onto the top edge of the panel — hides the top mounting screws and softens the ceiling transition.
Step 6 · Multiple panels side-by-side
For a wider wall, panels butt directly against each other — the slat spacing matches across panels so the look is continuous. Level each one against the previous before drilling.
